LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 75th Anniversary of United
Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers Local 195

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly acknowl-
edge those organizations whose endeavors serve the best interests of the
workforce in the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 75th Anniversary of United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and
Allied Workers Local 195, to be celebrated on Saturday, June 27, 2015,
at the OnCenter in Syracuse, New York; and
WHEREAS, The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Work-
ers Local 195 was established on June 29, 1940; and
WHEREAS, History teaches us that in many parts of the world, including
our beloved Nation, craftsmen and journeymen in various trades and
disciplines united and joined voluntary associations to represent their
numbers; and
WHEREAS, Today, under the able leadership of President Kevin Milligan,
75 years after the chartering of Local 195, its mission remains the
same, to unite and associate together all practical workmen among the
roofers, waterproofers and allied workers for the purpose of securing
concert of actions conducive to its interests; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of United Union of Roofers, Waterproof-
ers, and Allied Workers Local 195, fully confident that it will continue
to enjoy the sparkling success which has so characterized its past; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kevin Milligan, President, United Union of Roofers, Water-
proofers, and Allied Workers Local 195.
