LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Friends of DeCosta Headley upon
the occasion of hosting its Annual Networking Gala on May 21, 2015, and
paying tribute to this year's honorees

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Friends of DeCosta Headley upon the occasion of hosting its Annual
Networking Gala on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the El Caribe Country Club
in Brooklyn, New York, and to pay tribute to this year's honorees; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and honor the Friends of DeCosta Headley;
and
WHEREAS, This year's distinguished honorees have given much of their
time and energies to serve the best interests of their communities and
are an asset beyond remuneration and cannot be sufficiently extolled;
and
WHEREAS, Maka Nadirashvili received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing
from the University of Georgia in 1995, after moving to the United
States to seek greater economic, education and employment opportunities;
she secured her pursuit by becoming a Registered Nurse, Business
Consultant and Fashion Designer; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from New York University in 1963 with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Barbara J. Haravay went on to earn a
Master's degree in Secondary Social Studies as well as a Master's degree
in Educational Administration and Supervision; after serving as a teach-
er throughout the New York City area for many years, she became Assist-
ant Principal of Franklin K. Lane High School, and a Professor of
Student Teaching at Touro College; and
WHEREAS, Chair of the Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group,
Charles E. Simpson concentrated on corporate reorganizations, creditors'
rights and workouts; he is a former member of the Board of Directors of
the Brooklyn Children's Museum, the Brooklyn Red Cross and the Queens
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children; he was also a member
of the Brooklyn Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Rizwanullah Hameed currently serves as Chairman and
Co-founder of All Medical Care IPA, Co-CEO and Co-founder of NYS Elite
ACO, Co-founder of All Aim MSO, and runs a private practice in Internal
Medicine and Infectious Diseases in Brooklyn, New York; he is the proud
recipient of the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center President Award and
the Humanitarian Services Award by the Lions Club of Kings County; and
WHEREAS, Currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer of the Allure
Group, Dr. Rekha Bhandari is also the Chief of Geriatrics at the Kings-
brook Jewish Medical Center; she graduated from Adichunchanagiri Insti-
tute of Medical Services in India before completing her Residency Train-
ing at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, as well as her
Fellowship Training at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Imran Hameed currently serves as the CEO of All Medical
Care Independent Practitioner Association (IPA) and COO of the New York
State Elite Accountable Care Organization; in addition, he is the
Manager/Consultant of Physician Practices in Brooklyn; and
WHEREAS, As Chief Operating Officer of the Allure Group, Melissa G.
Guglielmo is responsible for the operation of six sub-acute/LTC facili-

ties, located in Brooklyn and Manhattan; she has been instrumental in
the successful oversight of faculty, administrators, assistant adminis-
trators, DNS' and all corporate staff; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Reverend Dr. Reuben Chizor brings
comfort and solace to all those with whom he comes in contact with; an
avid believer in education, this esteemed man established a scholarship
program in Nigeria and has given countless scholarships to young and
promising students whose educational endeavors may have otherwise been
halted due to lack of funds; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Marc Richard Hilaire currently serves as Private
Practice/President of Private Corporations of Home Health Care and
Social Adult Day Care, as well as a Staff Physician at VIP Community
Services in the Bronx where he cares for patients with substance abuse
and other concurrent disorders; in addition, he is an Attending Physi-
cian at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center in Brooklyn; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Friends of DeCosta Headley is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its members, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeav-
ors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to recognize the Friends of
DeCosta Headley for their commitment and contributions to the local
community and its quality of life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Friends of DeCosta Headley upon the occasion of hosting its
Annual Networking Gala on May 21, 2015, and to pay tribute to this
year's honorees; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Friends of DeCosta Headley and the aforementioned hono-
rees.
