LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Marc Eiseman upon the occasion of his
selection as the 2015 Dinner Dance honoree by the Lake Success Jewish
Center on June 7, 2015
WHEREAS, The quality and character of life in the Empire State is great-
ly enriched by the faithful and generous service of those who devote
themselves to endeavors of family, faith and community; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend individuals of such magnanimous conduct and bearing who demon-
strate a deep and continuing concern for others, and in so doing,
inspire others to do the same; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to
commend Marc Eiseman upon the occasion of his selection as the 2015
Dinner Dance honoree by the Lake Success Jewish Center on Sunday, June
7, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Marc Eiseman was born in June of 1954, to Marvin and the late
Harriet Eiseman in Paterson, New Jersey; he attended Yavneh Academy in
Paterson, New Jersey, where he was elected to the office of President of
the Student Council; and
WHEREAS, In 1972 Marc Eiseman graduated from Ramaz High School, New
York City; as a sophomore he held the position of President of his class
and as a senior he was elected President of the Student Council; and
WHEREAS, Upon graduating, Marc Eiseman earned a degree in Liberal Arts
with a major in Political Science from Washington University, St. Louis,
Missouri; while a student, he held the title of President of Zeta Beta
Tau Chapter (ZBT), and for his leadership skills, was awarded the Honor-
able Mention Award for Best ZBT President in the country in 1973; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated member of his community, Marc Eiseman served as
Vice President of Lake Success Jewish Center in 2006; three years later,
he was elected to the esteemed title of President of this vital organ-
ization, a position he continues to hold today; and
WHEREAS, Under his luminous leadership, the Lake Success Jewish Center
provides a nurturing environment where individuals and families can grow
and develop in mind, body, and spirit; and
WHEREAS, This dynamic organization's core values are rooted in Jewish
principles, representing the interest, concerns, and perspectives of the
Jewish community, and the community at large; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Marc Eiseman upon the occasion of his selection as the 2015
Dinner Dance honoree by the Lake Success Jewish Center on June 7, 2015;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Marc Eiseman.
