LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Christopher DeAngelis upon the occasion
of his designation for special recognition by the Orange County Inter-
scholastic Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior Scholar

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Christopher
DeAngelis upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition
by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2015
Senior Scholar; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Christopher DeAngelis has
distinguished himself as a young man of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
WHEREAS, Christopher DeAngelis, a student at Minisink Valley High
School in Slate Hill, New York, ranked 9th in his class with a 99.35
GPA; he played baseball and was a member of the swim team; and
WHEREAS, President of the National Honor Society, Christopher DeAngel-
is was a member of Future Business Leaders of America, Youth in Govern-
ment, Philosophy Club, and Film Society; he plans to attend Binghamton
University to study biology; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for his classmates, Christopher
DeAngelis has brought honor to his family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Christopher DeAngelis may stand with pride in his achieve-
ments, experiencing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his
accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as he
continues his education; and
WHEREAS, Christopher DeAngelis represents the potential inherent in
our most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased
to honor this young man, recognizing his achievements and the promise of
his future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Christopher DeAngelis upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Asso-
ciation as a 2015 Senior Scholar, and to wish him well in his future
endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Christopher DeAngelis.
