LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Trudy Hall upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2015 Excellence in the Professions Award
by The Women's Business Council of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber
of Commerce

WHEREAS; From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Trudy Hall
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2015 Excellence
in the Professions Award by The Women's Business Council of the Albany-
Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at its 24th Annual
Women of Excellence Luncheon on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Albany
Marriott Hotel, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, Trudy Hall has exhibited the true spirit of this auspicious
award through her impressive professional success and her tireless dedi-
cation to both her community and her family; this remarkable woman is
helping to shape the future of the residents of the Capital Region and
throughout the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, The Women of Excellence Award acknowledges women in seven
categories: distinguished career, excellence in management (100+ staff
and volunteers), excellence in management (1-99 staff members), excel-
lence in business, excellence in their profession, excellence in sales:
or marketing, and emerging professional; and
WHEREAS, Trudy Hall has had a lifelong passion for education; she has
taught and traveled all over the world; she has held the prestigious
position of Head of Emma Willard School, Troy, New York, for the last 16
years; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable woman enjoys working in a multi-generational
environment, and with women from the ages of 14 to 103; she loves to
connect each person's stories into themes so she can create a vision for
the school; and
WHEREAS, Educators like Trudy Hall provide a tremendous service to the
future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of young people in
their educational journeys and ensuring their success in their future
years; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Trudy Hall has displayed throughout
her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Trudy Hall upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2015 Excellence in the Professions Award by The Women's Business
Council of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Trudy Hall.
