LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kelsey Carr upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2015 Emerging Professional Award by The
Women's Business Council of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of
Commerce
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kelsey Carr
upon the occasion of her designation as the recipient of the 2015 Emerg-
ing Professional Award by The Women's Business Council of the Albany-Co-
lonie Regional Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at its 24th Annual
Women of Excellence Luncheon on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Albany
Marriott Hotel, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Carr has exhibited the true spirit of this auspicious
award through her impressive professional success and her tireless dedi-
cation to both her community and her family; this remarkable woman is
helping to shape the future of the residents of the Capital Region and
throughout the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, The Women of Excellence Award acknowledges women in seven
categories: distinguished career, excellence in management (100+ staff
and volunteers) excellence in management (1-99 staff members), excel-
lence in business, excellence in their profession, excellence in sales
or marketing, and emerging professional; and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Carr studied Civil Engineering at Syracuse University;
today, she holds the position of both Project Engineer and Sustainabili-
ty Coordinator for Chazen Companies, a private consulting firm in Troy,
New York, a title she has held for the last seven years; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to the well-being of her community, Kelsey Carr has
been a vital member of the Board of Directors of Concerned for the
Hungry, Inc. since 2011; and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Carr proudly delivered the Keynote Address at the
Southeast New York Stormwater Conference; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Kelsey Carr has displayed throughout
her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kelsey Carr upon the occasion of her designation as the recipient
of the 2015 Emerging Professional Award by The Women's Business Council
of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kelsey Carr.
