LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Bonacio Construction upon the
occasion of receiving the Sammy Vision Award by the Downtown Troy Busi-
ness Improvement District

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Bonacio Construction upon the occasion of receiving the Sammy
Vision Award by the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District which
was celebrated at its Annual Dinner on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at
Franklin Plaza in Troy, New York; and
WHEREAS, The mission of the Downtown Troy Business Improvement
District is to cultivate and advocate for the economic growth of down-
town Troy by creating an inviting, dynamic, and sustainable community
which celebrates the city's history while building towards its future;
and
WHEREAS, The Downtown Troy Business Improvement District is dedicated
to improving the quality of life within the district to further enhance
and make its community a vibrant and attractive destination for visi-
tors, businesses, residents, property owners, the daily workforce, and
students; and
WHEREAS, Bonacio Construction has deep roots in the historical preser-
vation and renovation of downtown Troy; and
WHEREAS, Bonacio Construction has renovated numerous historic build-
ings of Troy into mixed-use properties including the Dauchy Building,
which boasts 29 apartments and ground level commercial space; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Bonacio Construction owns the Triangle Building
in Troy which offers apartments and office spaces; and
WHEREAS, This accomplished construction company also owns the Keenan
Building of Troy which offers 14 apartments, as well as several busi-
nesses; this building was recognized as the Comeback Building of the
Year for the 2014 Outstanding Building of the Year Awards by the Capital
Region Building Owners and Managers Association; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Bonacio Construction upon the occasion of receiving the
Sammy Vision Award by the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bonacio Construction.
