LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Terry Lynn Collins upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Outstanding Woman of the Year Award
in the Grand Island/Buffalo community by AccuTheranostics, Inc. on June
24, 2015
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Terry Lynn Collins has given not only of her time and ener-
gies but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and conse-
quently has been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Terry Lynn
Collins upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Outstanding Woman of the Year Award in the Grand Island/Buffalo communi-
ty by AccuTheranostics, Inc. to be celebrated at a dinner held in her
honor on June 24, 2015, at River Oaks Golf Club, Grand Island, New York;
and
WHEREAS, Terry Lynn Collins earned an Electrical Engineering degree
from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and then went on to
receive her Masters of Business Administration degree from Canisius
College, Buffalo, New York; and
WHEREAS, Today, Terry Lynn Collins is the President/Founder of Maroon
Technology Ltd., a small marketing and web design firm located in Grand
Island; in this capacity, she is affiliated with numerous professional
groups such as Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, Sandler Strate-
gic Sales, Presidents Club, Toastmasters, and holds the title of Direc-
tor of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Terry Lynn Collins has been called upon to contribute her
time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, In addition to running her own business, Terry Lynn Collins
is a dedicated member of her community; she is actively involved with
several organizations including Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts, GI Soccer Club,
PTA, Knights of Columbus, Network in Aging, and WordPress; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Terry Lynn Collins has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Tim, and their two
children, Matt and Joe, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of her
life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Terry Lynn Collins has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Terry Lynn Collins upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the Outstanding Woman of the Year Award in the Grand
Island/Buffalo community by AccuTheranostics, Inc. on June 24, 2015; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Terry Lynn Collins.
