LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Arthur L. Aidala Esq. upon the occa-
sion of his installation as the 100th President of the Brooklyn Bar
Association on June 17, 2015

WHEREAS, The quality and character of life in this Nation, and the great
State of New York, is reflective of the purposeful lives and good works
of those patriotic and civic-minded community members who dedicate their
lives and careers to the service of others; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Arthur L.
Aidala Esq. upon the occasion of his installation as the 100th President
of the Brooklyn Bar Association to be celebrated at an Induction Ceremo-
ny on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, in the Grand Ballroom of the Brooklyn
Marriott Hotel, Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1872, the primary purpose of the Brooklyn Bar
Association is to promote professional competence among attorneys and
increase respect for the legal system; this vital organization promotes
access to the legal system through its Lawyer Referral Service which
provides referrals for legal assistance in multiple practice areas; and
WHEREAS, Moreover, the Brooklyn Bar Association advances leadership
and promotes opportunities for success through its networking opportu-
nities, as well as its sections and committees, which focus on improve-
ments in the practice of law; this vital organization also provides
continuing legal education, which enhances the skills, competence and
ethics of its members; and
WHEREAS, In 1989, Arthur L. Aidala graduated from the State University
of New York at Purchase; after receiving his Juris Doctorate from the
City University of New York Law School in 1992, he was admitted to both
the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations; and
WHEREAS, At this time, Arthur L. Aidala was employed as the Senior
Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney's
Office; he was promoted to Senior Trial Attorney, a position he held
from 1993-1997; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, Arthur L. Aidala tried many complex felony
and homicide trials; he also supervised 25 Assistant District Attorneys
in the Early Case Assessment Bureau and Investigations Bureau, and wrote
and argued Appeals for the Office; and
WHEREAS, In 1997, Arthur L. Aidala resigned from his seat to run as a
candidate for the New York City Council; he then opened his own law
practice, Aidala Bertuna & Kamins; and
WHEREAS, Aidala Bertuna & Kamins dedicates approximately 80% of its
time to legal work involving criminal defense charges, contractual
issues, real estate, wills, probate, estate planning and
business/corporate legal matters, practicing in both State and Federal
Courts; and
WHEREAS, The remainder of Aidala Bertuna & Kamins' practice focuses on
helping its neighbors within the Brooklyn community on such matters as
real estate closings, estate affairs and civil issues; and
WHEREAS, Arthur L. Aidala has served as President of Columbian Lawyers
Association of New York City, and often appears as a guest speaker at
local and state bar association meetings or at law schools in the metro-
politan area; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable man has been featured as a legal expert on
various television programs, including Fox 5, NY1, MSNBC and Court TV;
additionally, he has been heard on numerous radio stations such as WINS,
WCBS, and WABC; and
WHEREAS, Since September of 2005, Arthur L. Aidala has held the posi-
tion of official Legal Contributor/Analyst for Fox News Channel where he

currently appears exclusively on various day and prime time programs;
and
WHEREAS, Arthur L. Aidala was recognized as a Super Lawyer for
2012-2013 for his outstanding professional achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Arthur L. Aidala Esq. upon the occasion of his installation as
the 100th President of the Brooklyn Bar Association on June 17, 2015;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Arthur L. Aidala Esq.
