LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Stephanie McBath upon the occasion
of being named the 2015-2016 New York State Dairy Princess
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and leaders
of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the ideals
and values cherished by citizens of this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Stephanie McBath upon the occasion of being named the 2015-2016
Saratoga County Dairy Princess; and
WHEREAS, The Dairy Princess program, sponsored by the American Dairy
Association and Dairy Council, seeks to highlight the nutrition and
importance of dairy products while also fostering a deeper appreciation
of local dairy farmers within the community; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie McBath was named New York State Dairy Princess
after competing against 22 county dairy princesses in a two-day event;
and
WHEREAS, A senior at Schuylerville High School, this remarkable young
woman has served as a member of the FFA at her school, and has consulted
with several local dairy farmers to learn about being a leader in the
agricultural community; and
WHEREAS, In her role as 2015-2016 New York State Dairy Princess,
Stephanie McBath will serve as the primary spokesperson for New York's
dairy industry; her many responsibilities will include making appear-
ances at all of the county dairy princess contests, Fuel Up to Play 60
events, the Saratoga County Fair, and the New York State Fair; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Stephanie McBath looks forward to conducting
numerous activities to help educate children and consumers about local
dairy farmers and the benefits of dairy products; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie McBath plans to attend Cornell University in the
fall and will be majoring in Animal Science; and
WHEREAS, Through her active involvement in the community and her
sincere dedication to local dairy farming, Stephanie McBath is a true
role model for her peers; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
young woman now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments
and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appre-
ciating the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers and
parents; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie McBath exemplifies the best potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; she has brought
enduring honor to her family and her community through her many achieve-
ments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Stephanie McBath upon the occasion of being named the
2015-2016 New York State Dairy Princess, and to wish her continued
success in all her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Stephanie McBath.
