LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Tracy Richelle High, Partner of Sulli-
van & Cromwell LLP upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Local Development Corporation of East New York on
June 4, 2015
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Tracy Richelle High, Partner of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP upon the occa-
sion of her designation for special recognition by the Local Development
Corporation of East New York, celebrated at its 35th Annual Awards
Dinner, on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at The Liberty Warehouse, Brooklyn,
New York; and
WHEREAS, Tracy Richelle High, Partner of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP is
being recognized with this esteemed honor for her outstanding effort to
help reduce poverty and promote prosperity in East New York; and
WHEREAS, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP provides the highest quality legal
advice and representation to clients around the world; the firm's
success is the result of the quality of its lawyers, the most broadly
and deeply trained collection of attorneys in the world; and
WHEREAS, Founded 35 years ago, the Local Development Corporation of
East New York (LDCENY) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to
making East Brooklyn a better place to live and work; and
WHEREAS, LDCENY empowers low-to-moderate income women and minorities
with programs which promote economic sufficiency, build assets and
improve their lives and those of their families; and
WHEREAS, This vital organization works with local businesses to retain
and build industry and commerce, create jobs and improve economic oppor-
tunities for local residents and neighborhood enterprises; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous leadership of Executive Director, Sherry
Roberts, LDCENY offers its clients numerous services and programs,
including Starting a Business, Grow Your Business, Money Management,
Mentoring Program, Workshops and Seminars, Small Business Financing, and
Professional Development, as well as a Women's Business Center; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those organiza-
tions which enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and
have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have
earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Tracy Richelle High, Partner of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP upon the
occasion of her designation for special recognition by the Local Devel-
opment Corporation of East New York on June 4, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Tracy Richelle High.
