LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Diane Fortuna upon the occasion of her
retirement as Town Clerk of Hamptonburgh, New York, after more than 29
years of distinguished service

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have
devoted themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their
community and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Diane Fortuna upon the occasion of her retirement as Town Clerk of Hamp-
tonburgh, New York, after more than 29 years of distinguished service to
be celebrated with a party held in her honor on June 26, 2015, at Otter-
kill Golf and Country Club, Campbell Hall, New York; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Diane Fortuna served the Town of Hamp-
tonburgh, New York, with intelligence and caring dedication, continuous-
ly striving to effectively fulfill the duties of her position; and
WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with whom
she worked, Diane Fortuna will be remembered for her honesty, integrity,
keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of human problems
in her official acts; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Diane Fortuna upon the occasion of her retirement as Town Clerk
of Hamptonburgh, New York, after more than 29 years of distinguished
service, and to wish her continued success in all her future endeavors;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Diane Fortuna.
