LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Cheryl Miller upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition after nearly 40 years of service to
the residents of Wyoming County

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Cheryl Miller upon the occasion of her designation for special recogni-
tion after nearly 40 years of service to the residents of Wyoming Coun-
ty; and
WHEREAS, Cheryl Miller began her illustrious career with the Wyoming
County Community Health System in 1974, and held such positions as
Registered Nurse, Director of Nursing, and Director of Regulatory
Affairs before retiring; and
WHEREAS, With a focus on quality health care, Cheryl Miller served on
the hospital's Board of Managers, and was instrumental in the develop-
ment of the clinical nursing ladder program; and
WHEREAS Cheryl Miller also served as President of the Wyoming Communi-
ty Hospital Foundation for several years, and was one of the visionaries
behind the One Capital Campaign; and
WHEREAS, In addition, she was actively involved in countless fundrais-
ing events which were sponsored by the Foundation in support of the
services, programs and patient care provided to the community by the
hospital and nursing facility; and
WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of her duties and responsibil-
ities, Cheryl Millers' ongoing efforts and notable achievements have
significantly contributed to bettering the quality of life in her commu-
nity; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality of life in the communities across this great State of New
York is enriched by the diligence and compassionate commitment of those
individuals whose singular purpose is the care and welfare of others;
and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Cheryl Miller has displayed through-
out her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cheryl Miller upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition after nearly 40 years of service to the residents of Wyoming
County; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Cheryl Miller.
