LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Debra Mule for her outstanding work as
a member of the Freeport Board of Education, and recognizing her many
contributions to her community

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of those outstanding
educational leaders whose dedication and achievements have been instru-
mental in developing character and academic excellence in the young
people of New York State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Debra Mule for her outstanding work as a member of the Freeport Board of
Education, and to recognize her many contributions to the community to
be celebrated at a Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, June 17,
2015, at the New Visions School in Freeport, New York; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated public servant, Debra Mule was elected to a trus-
teeship on the Freeport Village Board of Trustees where she will contin-
ue to provide exceptional service to residents of her community; and
WHEREAS, For the past nine years, Debra Mule rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the young people and families of
her community as a member of the Freeport Board of Education; and
WHEREAS, In her official acts, Debra Mule was governed by a keen sense
of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; she also
served as President of the Freeport Board of Education for two years;
and
WHEREAS, During her tenure as a member of the Freeport Board of Educa-
tion, Debra Mule served with loyalty, honor, and distinction; she has
earned the admiration, esteem and affection of her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, Community leaders like Debra Mule provide a tremendous
service to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of
young people in their educational journeys and ensuring their success in
their future years; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable woman has clearly had an enduring impact on
the community of the Village of Freeport, and accordingly merits recog-
nition and applause for her impressive dedication to others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of
public education by providing their skills and talents to our schools;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Debra Mule for her outstanding work as a member of the Freeport
Board of Education, and recognizing her many contributions to her commu-
nity; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Debra Mule.
