LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Anthony Fratto, distin-
guished citizen and devoted member of his community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, It is with great sorrow and deep regret that this Legislative
Body records the passing of Anthony "Tony" Fratto, distinguished citizen
and devoted member of his community, on August 5, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Tony Fratto began his career working in New York City in the
financial field, as an Operations Officer with HSBC Bank, and later with
Dun and Bradstreet in Stamford, Connecticut; and
WHEREAS, Tony Fratto then received his degree and license as a Funeral
Director in 2001, and embarked on a career as a Funeral Director for
Falardeau Funeral Home in Baldwinsville, New York, following his previ-
ous work with the Pirro and Sons Funeral Home, a profession he loved,
remaining in close contact with many of the families he served; and
WHEREAS, He was a member of the Central New York Funeral Directors
Association, the New York State Funeral Directors Association and the
National Funeral Directors; and
WHEREAS, Tony Fratto served as Mayor of the Village of Phoenix begin-
ning in 2004 and devoted his life to public service; and
WHEREAS, He was Party Chairman for the Village of Phoenix and a member
of the New York Conference of Mayors; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Tony Fratto leaves behind a legacy which will long endure
the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all he
served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Anthony Fratto, former Mayor of the Village of Phoe-
nix, distinguished citizen and devoted member of his community; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Anthony Fratto.
