LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the student members of the Tri-
Valley Central FFA upon the occasion of being designated as recipients
of the American Degree from the National FFA
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and leaders
of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the ideals
and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
student members of the Tri-Valley Central FFA upon the occasion of being
designated as recipients of the American Degree from the National FFA;
this auspicious occasion was celebrated at the 88th National FFA Conven-
tion and Expo held on Saturday, October 31, 2015, in Louisville,
Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, The 2015 American Degree recipients from the Tri-Valley
Central FFA include: Anne Marie Avery, Hauk Matthew Boyes, Kyle George
Butler, So W. Chon, Kristen Doyle, Ashley E. Exner, Sierra E. Hennesey,
Max L. Lindquist, Brady E. Rogers and Claire Tierney; and
WHEREAS, The agricultural industry is part of the foundation upon
which our distinct American heritage is built; and
WHEREAS, The National FFA is dedicated to making a positive difference
in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier lead-
ership, personal growth and career success through agricultural educa-
tion to students in grades seven to twelve; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1951, by educator Robert Strangeway, the Tri-Val-
ley Central FFA is one of the most esteemed chapters of the FFA in the
State of New York and has annually garnered its share of honors; and
WHEREAS, The student members of the Tri-Valley Central FFA program
have gained knowledge in a large variety of skills including floral
design, environmental science, agribusiness and marketing and domestic
animal science; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, these
young men and women now stand honorably, with just pride in their accom-
plishments and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding
and appreciating the caring counsel and support provided by their teach-
ers, advisors and parents; and
WHEREAS, These exceptional young adults are a credit to their fami-
lies, their schools, their community, their State and their Nation, and
no doubt their future will be filled with accomplishments of equal
importance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
congratulate the members of the Tri-Valley Central FFA upon the occasion
of being designated as recipients of the American Degree from the
National FFA; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Tri-Valley Central FFA and the aforementioned student
members.
