LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dominick Peluso upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2015 Scholarship Award by the Major
General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dominick Peluso upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2015 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter
of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated at the 17th Annual
Tuition Assistance Awards Celebration on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at
Anthony's Pier 9, New Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, A senior at Ramapo High School in Spring Valley, New York,
Dominick Peluso has been on the Principal's List every semester since
seventh grade, and is currently President of Ramapo's National Honor
Society chapter; and
WHEREAS, Dominick Peluso is the Flight Commander of the Lieutenant Lee
A. Archer Jr. Red Tail Youth Flying Program at Stewart Airport, and is
its most active student pilot; he plans to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronau-
tical University with a major in aeronautical science and a minor in
aviation and global security, and then to log aviation experience possi-
bly as an officer of the United States Air Force; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Dominick Peluso serves as a volunteer firefight-
er, and is active within the Rockland Conservation and Service Corps, as
well as Cornell's Hudson River Fish Advisory Unit; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his high school career, Dominick Peluso has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and
WHEREAS, Dominick Peluso, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excel-
lence he brings to his family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dominick Peluso upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the 2015 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., and to extend to him best wishes for a
future of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dominick Peluso.
