LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dr. David Mitola, DDS upon the occasion
of his designation as recipient of the Distinguished Service Award by
Counseling Care and Services and the City of Cohoes

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
individuals it wishes to recognize for having given their time and ener-
gies to serve the best interests of their communities and to publicly
acknowledge their service; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr.
David Mitola, DDS upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Distinguished Service Award by Counseling Care and Services and the
City of Cohoes, celebrated at its 2015 Care Awards Ceremony on Friday,
November 6, 2015; and
WHEREAS, In 1999, David Mitola earned his bachelor's degree from the
University of Maryland at College Park; he went on to receive his Doctor
of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dental
Surgery in 2005; and
WHEREAS, Two years later, Dr. David Mitola completed a fellowship in
Geriatric Dentistry from the University of Maryland School of Dental
Surgery; and
WHEREAS, Since 2009, Dr. David Mitola has owned and operated a general
dentist office in Cohoes, New York; throughout his luminous career, has
been associated with the Troy Dental Study Club, the Third District
Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the New York State
Dental Association; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to his surrounding community; Dr. David Mitola has
held the position of President of the Cohoes Rotary Club, and currently,
serves as a member of both the Cohoes Community Center and the Cohoes
Industrial Development Association Boards of Directors; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been is loving wife, Andrea, and his
two beloved children, Abby and Lucas, all of whom feel privileged to be
a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. David Mitola, DDS upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Distinguished Service Award by Counseling Care and
Services and the City of Cohoes; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. David Mitola, DDS.
