LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Brian Reynolds upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the Huntington Foundation for
Excellence in Education
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Brian Reynolds has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Brian
Reynolds upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
the Huntington Foundation for Excellence in Education; this auspicious
occasion will be celebrated at the Huntington Foundation's 23rd Annual
Gala on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the OHEKA Castle in Huntington,
New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1993, the Huntington Foundation for Excellence in
Education (HFEE) is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to enhancing
educational opportunities for all students in the Huntington School
District; and
WHEREAS, Brian Reynolds attended South Side High School in Rockville
Centre, New York, and had the lead role in his high school musical; upon
graduation, he attended the State University of New York at Oswego, and
earned his master's degree at New York Institute of Technology; and
WHEREAS, In 1990, Brian Reynolds moved to Huntington, New York, where
he began his longtime and dedicated service to the students of the Hunt-
ington School District; his current position involves spending countless
hours working with the Robotics team as its Faculty Advisor, and teach-
ing five classes a day at J. Taylor Finley Middle School and Huntington
High School; in addition, he spent four years as the Huntington School
District's Computer Integration Specialist; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Brian Reynolds has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Brian Reynolds upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Huntington Foundation for Excellence in Education on
February 4, 2016, and to wish him continued success in all of his future
endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Brian Reynolds.
