LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Heather Brondi, Esq. upon the occasion
of her designation as recipient of the Brigid Nolan Memorial Award by
The Legal Project

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Heather Bron-
di, Esq. upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Brigid
Nolan Memorial Award by The Legal Project; this momentous occasion was
celebrated at its Pro Bono Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, October 14,
2015, at the Century House, Latham, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Brigid Nolan Memorial Award is given to an attorney who,
through his or her dedication and pro bono service with The Legal
Project, has helped a victim of domestic violence begin a new life; and
WHEREAS, Heather Brondi has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, An Associate at Copps DiPaoloa where her practice experience
is focused on family law, Heather Brondi graduated from Albany Law
School and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2011; and
WHEREAS, Heather Brondi is a member of the Saratoga and Essex County
Attorney for the Child Panels where she has developed a true passion for
helping local children in adoption, custody, family offense, neglect and
other family court proceedings; and
WHEREAS, Active within her community, Heather Brondi volunteers her
legal services to the Wellspring of Saratoga Springs, The Legal Project
and the Pai Program through the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New
York; in addition, she enjoys coaching local youth soccer; and
WHEREAS, Through her steadfast and unremitting commitment to pro bono
service, Heather Brondi has been instrumental in filling the gap of the
unmet legal needs in New York State; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Heather Brondi has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Heather Brondi has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Heather Brondi, Esq. upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the Brigid Nolan Memorial Award by The Legal Project; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Heather Brondi, Esq.
