LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jennifer Salamone upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the 2015 Champion of Youth Award by the
Boys & Girls Club of Troy

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Salamone has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Jennifer Sala-
mone upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2015 Cham-
pion of Youth Award by the Boys & Girls Club of Troy, at its First Annu-
al Great Futures Gala held on Thursday, September 24, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Salamone received this auspicious award for going
above and beyond in service and commitment to youth at the Troy Boys &
Girls Club; she is part of the Hoosick Street Beverage Center Team, a
family owned business for 14 years who is committed to providing the
best quality libations to the Capital District; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Salamone has raised over $30,000 to benefit the Troy
Boys & Girls Club by being one of the key members of the Planning Team
for their Annual Charity Golf Tournament; the proceeds from this vital
event provides an opportunity for 50 teenagers every year to attend the
Boys & Girls Club Program for free; and
WHEREAS, This year, Jennifer Salamone doubled the number of tournament
participants, from 50 to 100, and created the best tournament in the
Tri-City area; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Salamone has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Jennifer Salamone has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Jennifer Salamone has displayed
throughout her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jennifer Salamone upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the 2015 Champion of Youth Award by the Boys & Girls Club of
Troy; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jennifer Salamone.
