LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Edward Tremblay upon the occasion of
his retirement after many years of distinguished service to the City of
Cohoes
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Edward Tremblay upon the occasion of his retirement after many years of
distinguished service to the City of Cohoes at a party held on Saturday,
January 2, 2016, at the Cohoes Visitor Center; and
WHEREAS, Edward Tremblay earned his Bachelors of Science degree in
Business Administration from the College of St. Rose; and
WHEREAS, For the past 12 years, Edward Tremblay rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the City of Cohoes; and
WHEREAS, In his capacity as Director of Community and Economic Devel-
opment for the City of Cohoes, Edward Tremblay served with loyalty,
honor and distinction; and
WHEREAS, Edward Tremblay has a lot of experience with local and
regional banks, and has been known to manage multiple projects and
deliver them to completion on a timely basis; and
WHEREAS, Currently, Edward Tremblay serves on the Infrastructure Work-
ing Group of the Capital Region Economic Development Council and is an
active Board member of the Cohoes Senior Center, St. John's Episcopal
Church, the Cohoes Bridge Program, Connect Center at Good Ground Church
and the Cohoes Rotary; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Linda, and their two
children, Eric and Kelly, as well as his two grandchildren, Micah and
Addison, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, In his official acts, Edward Tremblay was governed by a keen
sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems, earn-
ing him the admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Edward Tremblay upon the occasion of his retirement after many
years of distinguished service to the City of Cohoes; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Edward Tremblay.
