LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the SUNY Polytechnic Institute College
of Nanoscale Science & Engineering upon the occasion of its designation
for special recognition by Trinity Alliance

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of commitment and high achievement whose
purpose and endeavors prove a dedication to the pursuit of excellence in
community education and wellness of this Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the SUNY Polytechnic Institute College of Nanoscale Science & Engineer-
ing upon the occasion of its designation for special recognition by
Trinity Alliance which was celebrated at its annual 'Rock Your Style'
Fashion Show on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the Peter D. Kiernan
Plaza in Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1952, Trinity Alliance provides social, health and
wellness services to the local community; in addition, its Capital South
Campus Center provides higher education and workforce development for
over 1,000 students in Albany's South End; and
WHEREAS, The SUNY Polytechnic Institute College of Nanoscale Science &
Engineering (CNSE) was established in 2004, and has become one of the
global leaders in nanotechnology education, research and economic
outreach; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed research institute has invested significant
funds to expand research in advanced technology, as well as to help
provide its students with exclusive corporate partners for a one of a
kind learning experience; and
WHEREAS, Recently, SUNY Polytechnic CNSE has helped make a significant
three-year grant to Trinity Alliance's Capital South Campus Center which
will help the organization carry out its mission for many years to come;
and
WHEREAS, SUNY Polytechnic CNSE has gone above and beyond the call of
service in helping advance Trinity Alliance's Capital South Campus
Center; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend SUNY Polytechnic Institute College of Nanoscale Science & Engi-
neering upon the occasion of its designation for special recognition by
Trinity Alliance; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to SUNY Polytechnic Institute College of Nanoscale Science &
Engineering.
