LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC upon the occa-
sion of its designation as recipient of the 2016 Circle of Humanity
Award by Temple Israel, Albany, New York
WHEREAS, Organizations which serve the interests of the people of this
Empire State merit the commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor Hugh John-
son Advisors LLC upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the 2016 Circle of Humanity Award by Temple Israel, Albany, New York, to
be celebrated at a dinner on Thursday, May 19, 2016; and
WHEREAS, The Circle of Humanity Award is presented to local individ-
uals and institutions who devote themselves to making a positive differ-
ence in our community and beyond; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious award is given to those who have shown cour-
age and initiative to reach out, together, to create an atmosphere that
is at once positive, exciting and contagious, spreading its arms in an
extension of human circles which includes those in every walk of life;
Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC epitomizes this definition; and
WHEREAS, Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC is a registered investment advisor
with responsibility for over $1 billion in managed assets and over $1
billion in consulting assets; it is small enough to have a strong local
presence and large enough to have a global perspective; and
WHEREAS, Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC's approach to wealth management is
simple; whether an individual or institutional client, it believes in
managing wealth based on a clearly articulated set of objectives; one
product does not fit all sizes; it is the responsibility of the institu-
tion to help establish clear and achievable wealth accumulation goals,
and then manage the clients' assets to provide them the best opportunity
to meet them; and
WHEREAS, Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC is an employee owned firm that has
roots back to 1994 when it was founded as First Albany Asset Management;
it believes that as a successful growing business, it has an obligation
to play a role in advancing the missions of its non-profits who so ably
serve the many needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC has served the interests of the
people of the Empire State for over 20 years; this occasion presents an
opportunity for this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to
Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those insti-
tutions and individuals who enhance the quality of life in their commu-
nity and have shown a long and sustained commitment to the maintenance
of high standards in their profession, certainly have earned the recog-
nition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2016 Circle of Humanity Award by Temple Israel, Albany,
New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC.
