LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Danielle Goodsell upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the Port Washington Parent
Resource Center on March 18, 2016

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Danielle Goodsell has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Danielle Good-
sell upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Port Washington Parent Resource Center, to be celebrated at its Annual
Gala on Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Village Club of Sands Point; and
WHEREAS, For more than 35 years, the Parent Resource Center (PRC) has
been an integral part of the Port Washington community, bringing togeth-
er families with young children to play, learn, grow, and make life-long
friendships; and
WHEREAS, Danielle Goodsell SHRM-SCP, is a respected HR Executive and
Management Consultant with two decades of experience in Technology and
Financial Services; and
WHEREAS, Born in Australia, Danielle Goodsell spent eight years in the
United Kingdom before relocating to Port Washington with her family in
November of 2012, during which time she became a member of the Parent
Resource Center; and
WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to her community,
Danielle Goodsell began volunteering in Administration and Operations at
the Parent Resource Center to fulfill her member volunteer commitment,
and was subsequently appointed to its Board as Technology, Systems and
Process chair in June of 2013; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, in March of 2014, Danielle Goodsell secured
substantial software grants to upgrade the organization's customer
relationship management (CRM), and two months later she was elected
President; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, Danielle Goodsell was instrumental in
modernizing the Parent Resource Center as a business, upgrading facili-
ties and becoming more responsive to the needs of a new generation of
members; and
WHEREAS, Danielle Goodsell resigned from the esteemed position of PRC
President to return to full time employment; she currently serves as HR
Operations Manager at AbilTo, a behavioral healthcare provider; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Danielle Goodsell has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Stefan, and their
two sons, Rafael and Sebastien, all of whom feel privileged to be a part
of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Danielle Goodsell has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Danielle Goodsell upon the occasion of her designation for special

recognition by the Port Washington Parent Resource Center on March 18,
2016; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Danielle Goodsell.
