LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 65th Anniversary of Kenmore
Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, New York

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to recognize and
acknowledge certain exemplary organizations that continue to provide
superior services and support for residents, and through their work,
have become a beacon of hope, opportunity and prosperity within the
community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 65th Anniversary of Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, New
York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1951, Kenmore Mercy Hospital is proud to continue
the proud tradition of the Sisters of Mercy by striving to improve the
health and well-being of the people of Buffalo, New York, and the entire
Western New York area in a way that includes compassion, dedication, a
commitment to quality and patient safety, while maintaining economic
viability and a vision for the 21st Century; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Kenmore Mercy Hospital has continued to
grow to meet the changing needs of its Western New York community by
adding a Knee and Hip Center, expanding the Surgery Department, includ-
ing two new state-of-the-art surgical suites, developed an award winning
Orthopedic Campus and constructed a modern Emergency Department; and
WHEREAS, The success enjoyed by Kenmore Mercy Hospital is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its associates, physicians, and volunteers
who work hard every day to provide for its patients and their loved
ones; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly recog-
nize those organizations that have achieved notable accomplishments and
have contributed to the betterment of the residents of this great Empire
State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 65th Anniversary of Kenmore Mercy Hospital; fully confi-
dent it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success it has experienced
thus far; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kenmore Mercy Hospital.
