LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Frank S. Thorp III upon the occasion
of being named the 2015 EMT of the Year by the East Marion Volunteer
Fire Department

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who give
outstanding service to the people of the Empire State and whose extraor-
dinary achievements save the lives of their fellow citizens should be
recognized because their efforts so profoundly strengthen our shared
commitment to family and community life; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Frank S. Thorp III upon the occasion of being named the 2015 EMT of the
Year by the East Marion Volunteer Fire Department to be celebrated at
its Annual Installation of Officers' Dinner at East Wind Catering,
Wading River, New York, on Saturday, March 12, 2016; and
WHEREAS, On many occasions, Frank S. Thorp III has acted with bravery
and steady precision in dealing with the risk and drama of emergency
situations; and
WHEREAS, In the performance of his duties, Frank S. Thorp III has
demonstrated his character and his compassion for the welfare of others;
he is a tremendous asset to his EMT Unit and a distinguished citizen of
the State and Nation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Frank S. Thorp III upon the occasion of being named the 2015 EMT
of the Year by the East Marion Volunteer Fire Department; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to EMT Frank S. Thorp III.
