LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Dr. Paul Vogt upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Parish of Mater Christi on
April 9, 2016
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr. Paul Vogt
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the
Parish of Mater Christi to be celebrated at its 10th Annual Spring Fling
on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the Albany Country Club, Voorheesville,
New York; and
WHEREAS, An active member of the Parish of Mater Christi, Dr. Paul
Vogt is the father to four boys who have or are attending Mater Christi
School; he has participated on the school board, serving as President
and Chair of the Development Committee; and
WHEREAS, An enthusiastic volunteer, Dr. Paul Vogt has worked on many
fundraising activities including the Bazaar, March Magic, Spring Fling
TV raffle, Halfway to St. Patrick's concerts, golf tournaments and was
the Chairman of the Annual Book Sale; and
WHEREAS, A past Grand Knight, Dr. Paul Vogt is a member of the Albany
Knights of Columbus, holding the position of Financial Secretary; and
WHEREAS, For the last 10 years, Dr. Paul Vogt has been a Coach for
Mater Christi CYO; he also coached National Little League, Albany Babe
Ruth, Albany Pop Warner, and Holy Trinity Football; this remarkable man
also was a member of the Board of Directors for both National Little
League and Albany Babe Ruth; and
WHEREAS, A proud alumni of a Catholic school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylva-
nia, Dr. Paul Vogt is truly dedicated to the ideals of his faith and
strives to assist young people to see and understand the role of faith
in one's daily life and in the larger society; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention, it
is appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that
individual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Dr. Paul Vogt upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Parish of Mater Christi on April 9, 2016; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Paul Vogt.
