LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Aaron Salovin upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT 2016
Men at Work Edition
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Salovin has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Aaron Salovin
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT 2016 Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, An esteemed resident of Rock Hill, New York, Aaron Salovin
graduated from Fallsburg High School; after graduating, he attended
SCCC, and studied Architecture at Alfred State College; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Salovin then studied at Orange County Community College
and successfully completed an apprentice program in Orange and Rockland
Local 964; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Salovin began his long and distinguished carpentry
career at Right Finishing in Monticello, a position he held from
1982-1986; today, he serves as President and owner of Built to Last,
Inc., where he can utilize his many skills and work on various projects,
from rough framing to custom woodworking; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to the community in which he works and lives, Aaron
Salovin is a vital member of the Rock Hill Fire Department and has
volunteered his time and energy to assisting with the Rock Hill Renais-
sance Project; and
WHEREAS, When he is not working, Aaron Salovin enjoys fishing for bass
and playing golf; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife of 32 years, Sandra,
and his two children, Tyler and Rebecca, all of whom feel privileged to
be a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Aaron Salovin has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Aaron Salovin upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT 2016 Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Aaron Salovin.
