LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Natalie Aurucci Stiefel upon the occa-
sion of her designation for special recognition by the Rocky Point Lions
Club
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Natalie
Aurucci Stiefel upon the occasion of her designation for special recog-
nition by the Rocky Point Lions Club at its A "Lions" Taste of Long
Island event held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at The Inn at East Wind,
Wading River, New York; and
WHEREAS, For 34 years, Natalie Aurucci Stiefel has served as the
Administrative Assistant to three generations of the Roberts family
management at the Thomas Wilson Company Lace Mill in Port Jefferson
Station, New York; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, Natalie Aurucci Stiefel has prepared and
installed displays of archival Rocky Point photographs and artifacts for
the Rocky Point Historical Society at the Circa 1721 Noah Hallock Home-
stead, the four schools in Rocky Point and exhibits at various local
business establishments; and
WHEREAS, Natalie Aurucci Stiefel has been called upon to contribute
her time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to preserving the history of her community, Natalie
Aurucci Stiefel holds leadership roles at organizations such as Charter
Officer and President of the Rocky Point Historical Society, and Corre-
sponding Secretary of Long Island Radio and Television Historical Socie-
ty's DISTANT SPARKS historical journal; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Natalie Aurucci Stiefel has produced several
publications and video programs on various historical subjects; and
WHEREAS, Proud of her Italian heritage, Natalie Aurucci Stiefel
co-founded the Italian Genealogical Group in 2009; today, she continues
to serve as an officer; and
WHEREAS, Always willing to lend a hand or offer information, Natalie
Aurucci Stiefel assembled art displays for Temima Gezari's four annual
exhibitions at her Workshop Studio in Rocky Point, and serves as an
historical advisor to local schools and business establishments; and
WHEREAS, For 10 years, this remarkable woman has donated her time and
energy to the Hope Corps of Suffolk County, assisting social workers in
finding homes for migrant families of the Warner Duck Farm in Riverhead,
as well as working with the children of migrant families in the Wider
Horizons Program; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Natalie Aurucci Stiefel has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her husband, Bruce, who feels
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in her accomplishments;
and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Natalie Aurucci Stiefel has
displayed throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Natalie Aurucci Stiefel upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the Rocky Point Lions Club; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Natalie Aurucci Stiefel.
