LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Eugene Duffy upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT 2016
Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Eugene Duffy has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Eugene Duffy
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT 2016 Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, An esteemed resident of Liberty, New York, Eugene Duffy grad-
uated from High School in 1978; and
WHEREAS, Head Cook at Sullivan County Adult Day Care, Eugene Duffy is
responsible for cooking for the residents of this vital organization,
paying close attention to the dietary needs and restrictions of each
resident; and
WHEREAS, Eugene Duffy began his illustrious career with Sullivan Coun-
ty Adult Day Care as a dishwasher 30 years ago; through hard work and
unremitting dedication, he climbed the ranks to become assistant cook,
and then head cook, the esteemed position he continues to hold today;
and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his eight brothers, his daugh-
ter and his grandson, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his
life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Eugene Duffy has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberation to
honor Eugene Duffy upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT 2016 Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Eugene Duffy.
