LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Leslie Tallmadge upon the occasion of
being selected to the All-State Chorus

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commend and pay
tribute to those young people who, by achieving outstanding success in
musical competition, have inspired and brought pride to our majestic
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Leslie Tallmadge upon the occasion of being selected to the All-State
Chorus; and
WHEREAS, Singing since the fourth grade, Leslie Tallmadge has a beau-
tiful Alto 2 voice; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding singer has attended All-County Chorus for
eight years, Area All-State for four years as well as the New York State
School Music Association for six years; and
WHEREAS, Leslie Tallmadge plans to attend the State University of New
York Broome Community College in the fall to begin studies toward a
major in Music Education or Music Therapy; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
scholar now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments and
in eager anticipation of further challenges, understanding and appreci-
ating the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers, coaches
and parents; and
WHEREAS, Leslie Tallmadge, along with her family, friends and teach-
ers, can be justifiably proud of her musical and other achievements and
her participation in All-State Chorus; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Leslie Tallmadge upon the occasion of being selected to the All-
State Chorus; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Leslie Tallmadge.
