LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Andrea Euceda upon the occasion of
receiving the distinguished Girl Scout Silver Award, a prestigious
Scouting honor
WHEREAS, Andrea Euceda will be honored with the Girl Scout Silver Award,
Cadette Scouting's highest award and Girl Scouting's second highest
achievement, at the West Hempstead/Franklin Square Association of Girl
Scouts' Awards Night on Friday, May 13, 2016, at Polk Street School,
Franklin Square, New York; and
WHEREAS, A resident of West Hempstead, New York, Andrea Euceda the
daughter of Wilson and Kenia, is a member of Girl Scout Troop 1325; and
WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has cultivated in our Nation's young people the
goals of building solid values of sisterhood and the importance of work-
ing with others, stimulating both mind and body, instilling pride, and
encouraging community service and success; and
WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has expanded the horizons of the countless
hundreds of thousands who have participated in Scouting programs which
have made Scouting an American and international institution; and
WHEREAS, For her Silver Award community service project, Andrea Euceda
beautified Bertini Gardens; and
WHEREAS, The Silver Award is earned over a two-year period; it is
tangible evidence of Andrea Euceda's high character and commitment, and
is a harbinger of her future service to her community, New York State
and our Nation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
recognize her achievement in earning the Girl Scout Silver Award and
wishing her success, health and happiness; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Andrea Euceda.
