LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Nicholas Skrobola upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the Orange County Interscho-
lastic Athletic Association as a 2016 Senior Scholar-Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Nicholas Skro-
bola upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2016 Senior
Scholar-Athlete; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Nicholas Skrobola has distin-
guished himself as a young man of superlative ability, talent, and matu-
rity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposeful-
ness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Skrobola, a student at Pinebush High School in Pine
Bush, New York, is ranked 24th in his class with a 95.4 GPA; he partic-
ipated in several sports including football and baseball, where he
served as team captain; and
WHEREAS, A member of National Honor Society, Nicholas Skrobola has
distinguished himself by achieving high honor roll in AP and honors
classes and receiving a student-athlete award as well as attending the
National Young Leaders of America Conference; and
WHEREAS, While attending college, Nicholas Skrobola plans to major in
biology and play baseball; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community, Nicholas Skrobola enjoys volun-
teering his time and energy for Relay for Life, Bowl-a-thon, American
Cancer Society, Community Cares, the Community Center as well as coach-
ing youth baseball; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for his classmates, Nicholas Skro-
bola has brought honor to his family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Skrobola may stand with pride in his achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as he contin-
ues his education; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Skrobola represents the potential inherent in our
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to
honor this young man, recognizing his achievements and the promise of
his future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nicholas Skrobola upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2016 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish him well in his future
endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nicholas Skrobola.
