LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Stuart Hayim upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by The Julien Collot Foundation on
June 25, 2016
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of organizations
and individuals who devote themselves to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Stuart Hayim upon the occasion of his designation for special recogni-
tion by The Julien Collot Foundation at a Gatsby Style Event to be cele-
brated on Wednesday June 29, 2016, at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New
York; and
WHEREAS, The Julien Collot Foundation, a non-profit charity, was
formed in September of 2007 in honor of Julien Collot, a three-year-old
toddler who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia; and
WHEREAS, In January of 2011, Julien Collot lost his battle with
cancer; today, the foundation's goal is to make transplant a safe reali-
ty for more children, which involves finding better ways to prevent and
treat Graft versus Host Disease (GvHD); and
WHEREAS, Each year, The Julien Collot Foundation honors those individ-
uals whose active involvement and generous support greatly assist the
foundation in its goal to fund the Bone Marrow Transplant Research Team
at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where new
treatments for GvHD are being developed; and
WHEREAS, In 1983, Stuart Hayim founded The Experience Auto Group
(EAG), and 20 years later, as a retired cancer survivor, he embarked on
a journey with his son, Garrett; and
WHEREAS, Stuart Hayim's passion for fine cars and all things fast,
combined with his unbreakable bond with his son, grew EAG into one of
the leading dealers of luxury Italian automobiles in the Nation; and
WHEREAS, Today, with Stuart Hayim's other son, Gregg, running the
company's Northeast dealerships, and Garrett, president of EAG, oversee-
ing its Fort Lauderdale operations, this dynamic family-run auto group
is now corporate home to five dealerships along the Eastern Seaboard,
exclusively focusing on the management of dealer operations, sales,
restoration and auto body repair of exotic, high-performance, luxury
automobiles; and
WHEREAS, Outside of owning a successful automotive group, Stuart Hayim
is a passionate five-time offshore boat racing champion, and believes
strongly in giving back to the local community and supporting various
philanthropic organizations; and
WHEREAS, Stuart Hayim has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Stuart Hayim has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which this consummate philanthropist has
displayed throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Stuart Hayim upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by The Julien Collot Foundation; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Stuart Hayim.
