LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Caleb Brown upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Caleb Brown upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a Young
Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Caleb Brown was selected for this esteemed honor in recogni-
tion of his hard work, ambition, and creativity, as well as for his
profound impact in and around the community of Sullivan County; and
WHEREAS, A brewer of beer, Caleb Brown is fulfilling his love of
science and the complexities that come with creating new formulas and
flavors; and
WHEREAS, Originally from the outskirts of Kansas City, Kansas, Caleb
Brown met his wife near her hometown of Akron, Ohio, and moved to the
Catskills one year ago to take an opportunity at the Catskill Brewery in
Livingston Manor, where he is now Head Brewer; and
WHEREAS, Upon graduating from high school, Caleb Brown wasn't quite
sure what he wanted to do for a living or if he wanted to attend
college; he started out doing internships and random jobs, moving around
a lot, until he began learning how to brew in Akron, Ohio; and
WHEREAS, During this time, Caleb Brown established a true passion for
brewing beer, specifically sour beer, focusing on fermentation in the
barrels, making a beer that will be newly released this year at Catskill
Brewery; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, and their two daugh-
ters, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice
in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Caleb Brown upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Caleb Brown.
