LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Henry E. Lindquist upon the occa-
sion of celebrating his 100th Birthday
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commemorate and
recognize certain milestones celebrated by citizens of this great Nation
and Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Henry E. Lindquist of Bolivar, New York, upon the occasion of cele-
brating his 100th Birthday; and
WHEREAS, Henry Lindquist was born on March 18, 1915, in Harvey, North
Dakota, to Erick and Karolina Lindquist; he attended school at Little
Genesee and Bolivar High School; and
WHEREAS, Henry and his wife, the late Ellen Haines, raised five chil-
dren, Jon, Nancy, Andy, Lou Ann, and Amy; today, he is the loving grand-
father of five grandchildren, Mary Ellen, Kristin, Sue Ann, Jon, and
Carrie; and five great-grandchildren Joshua, Kyler, Ty, Rachel and Jaag-
er; and
WHEREAS, Henry Lindquist first worked in the oil fields for Messer Oil
Corporation before going to serve as School Building, Grounds and Trans-
portation Supervisor for the Bolivar Central School District until his
retirement in June of 1977; and
WHEREAS, An active man in his community, Henry Lindquist is most known
to his family, friends and neighbors for his constant willingness to
lend a helping hand to those in need; he also enjoys repairing and
restoring antique clocks and cars, is an avid woodworker and welder; and
WHEREAS, Among his notable achievements, Henry Lindquist helped
construct the Faith Bible Church in Little Genesee, which held its first
service, a prayer meeting, in the new sanctuary in December of 1971; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly recog-
nize and honor the lives of beloved citizens who have reached such a
remarkable age and who have witnessed and celebrated the innovations,
cultural developments, and awesome achievements of this country during
the last century; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Henry E. Lindquist upon the occasion of celebrating his
100th Birthday; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Henry Lindquist.
