LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Jillian Holweger upon the occasion
of receiving the Girl Scout Silver Award, Cadette Scouting's highest
award and Girl Scouting's second highest achievement

WHEREAS, Jillian Holweger was honored with the Girl Scout Silver Award,
Cadette Scouting's highest award and Girl Scouting's second highest
achievement; the ceremony will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Shel-
ter Rock Elementary School, Manhasset, New York; and
WHEREAS, Jillian Holweger is a member of the Girl Scouts of America
Troop 511, Manhasset, New York; and
WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has cultivated in our Nation's young people the
goals of building solid values of sisterhood and the importance of work-
ing with others, stimulating both mind and body, instilling pride, and
encouraging community service and success; and
WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has expanded the horizons of the countless
hundreds of thousands who have participated in Scouting programs which
have made Scouting an American and international institution; and
WHEREAS, The Silver Award is earned over a two-year period; it is
tangible evidence of Jillian Holweger's high character and commitment,
and is a harbinger of her future service to her community, New York
State and our Nation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Jillian Holweger, recognizing her achievement in earning
the Girl Scout Silver Award, and wishing her much success, health and
happiness; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jillian Holweger.
