LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kathie B. Montigelli upon the occasion
of her retirement after more than 30 years of distinguished service as
Clerk of the Village of Black River

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kathie B.
Montigelli upon the occasion of her retirement after more than 30 years
of distinguished service as Clerk of the Village of Black River; and
WHEREAS, In addition to her service to the Black River community as
Clerk, Kathie B. Montigelli is a past president and founding member of
the North Country Association of Village Clerks, past president of the
New York State Society of Municipal Finance Officers, and past president
of the New York State Association of City and Village Clerks; and
WHEREAS, She also served as a president of the Black River Preschool
Board and president of the Black River Elementary Home-School Associ-
ation as well as president and host parent of the Carthage Central
School American Field Service; and
WHEREAS, During her career of public service as Village Clerk, Kathie
B. Montigelli saw the village through major improvements, including the
expansion of the water system, the pump station replacement, installa-
tion of the village sewer system, and computerization of the Village's
clerical and fiscal operations; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kathie B. Montigelli upon the occasion of her retirement after
more than 30 years of distinguished service as Clerk of the Village of
Black River, and best wishes in all her future endeavors; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted Kathie B. Montigelli.
