LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating Delaware Youth Center's 20th Annual
Tractor Parade on June 12, 2016

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and events that are devoted to the welfare of the community and
its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate Delaware Youth Center's 20th Annual Tractor Parade on Sunday, June
12, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Nestled on the shore of the Delaware River in the rural
hamlet of Callicoon, New York, the Delaware Youth Center has been a
central part of its surrounding community for more than 70 years; and
WHEREAS, For two decades, tractors old and new, large and small parade
down Main Street in Callicoon, New York; following the parade, patrons
are invited to enjoy a tasty chicken barbeque, hotdogs, snacks, and more
under the pavilion at the Delaware Youth Center; and
WHEREAS, This year, under the able leadership of Delaware Youth
Center's Tractor Parade coordinator Katrina Graby, the event will
include a basket raffle to spotlight local farmers and businesses, as
well as artesian vendors and their products; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, in recognition of this vital organizations 20th
Annual Tractor Parade, a Tug of War Benefit Tournament was established
to raise funds for the Delaware Youth Center, and will follow the
parade; and
WHEREAS, The Delaware Youth Center is a solid cornerstone of Calli-
coon, New York, and stands ready to continue its important mission of
touching the lives of its community members; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to call attention
to organizations such as the Delaware Youth Center, which serve to bring
people together for the united purpose of actively pursuing improvements
in their communities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate Delaware Youth Center's 20th Annual Tractor Parade on June
12, 2016; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Delaware Youth Center, Callicoon, New York.
