LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Philip Cosmo upon the occasion of his
retirement as City Manager after more than three decades of distin-
guished service to the City of Ogdensburg

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who are devoted to the welfare of their community and its citizen-
ry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Philip Cosmo upon the occasion of his retirement as City Manager after
more than three decades of distinguished service to the City of Ogdens-
burg; and
WHEREAS, Since 1985, Philip Cosmo has rendered faithful, conscientious
and valuable service to the citizens of Ogdensburg; and
WHEREAS, He has served his community with loyalty, honor and
distinction, working hard to make a difference in his community, improv-
ing the quality of life for his fellow citizens and offering his
personal and professional assistance throughout his career to a variety
of organizations, including Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, North Coun-
try Savings Bank, St. Mary's Cathedral and the Ogdensburg Lions Club;
and
WHEREAS, During his tenure with the City of Ogdensburg, Philip Cosmo
displayed the highest degree of professionalism and integrity and earned
the admiration and respect of his colleagues for his dedication, enthu-
siasm, and hard work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Philip Cosmo upon the occasion of his retirement as City Manager
after more than three decades of distinguished service to the City of
Ogdensburg; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Philip Cosmo.
