LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring outgoing-Trustee Linda Fuller for
special recognition after many years of distinguished service to the
North Merrick School District Board of Education

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Linda Fuller has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor outgoing-Trus-
tee Linda Fuller for special recognition after many years of distin-
guished service to the North Merrick School District Board of Education;
and
WHEREAS, Linda Fuller has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, A lifelong community resident, Linda Fuller has been a North
Merrick School District Board of Education Trustee since 1999, serving
as President for two terms; and
WHEREAS, In addition to volunteering as a member of the North Merrick
Community Association and serving as PTA President, Girl Scout Leader
and Sunday School Teacher, Linda Fuller spent her illustrious career as
Assistant Vice President of Internal Auditing for a major investment
brokerage firm, and also held the position of Senior Bank Examiner; and
WHEREAS, Subsequently, Linda Fuller pursued a Master's degree in
Elementary Education, and is currently working as an elementary school
teacher; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Kevin, and their
daughter, Beth, both of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life
and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Linda Fuller has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Linda Fuller has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor outgoing-Trustee Linda Fuller for special recognition after many
years of distinguished service to the North Merrick School District
Board of Education; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to outgoing-Trustee Linda Fuller.
