LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Maresa Dealy upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Amityville Rotary Club on
June 9, 2016

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Maresa Dealy has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Maresa Dealy
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Amityville Rotary Club, to be celebrated at its Annual Gift of Life Gala
on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Chateau La Mer, Lindenhurst, New York; and
WHEREAS, Maresa Dealy has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, After her son entered Amityville Central School, Maresa Dealy
decided to get involved in his educational process; she quickly found
that she had become a champion for all the children in the school
district; and
WHEREAS, Maresa Dealy became a vital member of the Amityville Parent-
Teacher Council, which promotes continued communication between the
community and the public school with the idea of involving parents,
teachers and administration in the mutual goal of a good educational
system for all of the students; and
WHEREAS, Through the organization's hard work and determination, many
important changes have occurred which have positively affected the lives
of the students and the community-at-large; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Maresa Dealy has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Maresa Dealy has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Maresa Dealy upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Amityville Rotary Club on June 9, 2016; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Maresa Dealy.
