LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending outgoing Co-President Linda Thompson
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Amityville Rotary Club on June 9, 2016

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
organizations and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
outgoing Co-President Linda Thompson for her distinguished service to
the Amityville Rotary Club, to be celebrated at its Annual Gift of Life
Gala on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Chateau La Mer, Lindenhurst, New
York; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure as Co-President, Linda Thompson faith-
fully served the Amityville Rotary Club of Amityville, New York, leading
the Club in living up to its mission, Service Above Self; and
WHEREAS, As Co-President, Linda Thompson strived to promote strong
fellowship among Rotarians and conduct meaningful service projects which
greatly benefitted the Amityville community; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and pay tribute to outgoing Co-President Linda Thomp-
son; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend outgoing Co-President Linda Thompson for her distinguished
service to the Amityville Rotary Club; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to outgoing Co-President Linda Thompson.
