LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Marie Nicole Souffrant of the 21st
Senate District upon the occasion of her designation for special recog-
nition after 29 years of dedicated service as an EMT

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who give
outstanding service to the people of the Empire State and whose extraor-
dinary achievements save the lives of their fellow citizens should be
recognized because their efforts so profoundly strengthen our shared
commitment to family and community life; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Marie Nicole Souffrant of the 21st Senate District upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition after 29 years of dedicated
service as an EMT; and
WHEREAS, Access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the
survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or
injury; and
WHEREAS, On many occasions, Marie Nicole Souffrant has acted with
bravery and steady precision in dealing with the risk and drama of emer-
gency situations; and
WHEREAS, In the performance of her duties, Marie Nicole Souffrant has
demonstrated her character and her compassion for the welfare of others;
she is a tremendous asset to her EMT Unit and a distinguished citizen of
the State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body cannot express sufficient gratitude to
those devoted individuals who recognize that the preservation of life is
a sacred responsibility and who make that responsibility their own by
serving as Emergency Medical Technicians; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Marie Nicole Souffrant of the 21st Senate District upon the
occasion of her designation for special recognition after 29 years of
dedicated service as an EMT; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Marie Nicole Souffrant.
