LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating student-athlete Eileen Cuneo upon
the occasion of her selection as a 2014 Brine National High School All-
American girls lacrosse player

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the State of New York who, by
achieving outstanding success in athletic competition, have inspired and
brought pride to their school and community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late student-athlete Eileen Cuneo upon the occasion of her selection as
a 2014 Brine National High School All-American girls lacrosse player;
and
WHEREAS, Eileen Cuneo, a junior at Manhasset High School, has been
named a 2014 Brine Lacrosse National High School All-American girls
lacrosse player; she was also selected to represent Long Island at the
2014 National Brine Classic held in Boyds, Maryland on June 30-July 3,
2014; and
WHEREAS, As part of the Long Island Team, this esteemed young woman
competed against some of the best high school girls lacrosse players
from across the country, helping her squad in becoming 2014 Co-Cham-
pions; and
WHEREAS, Eileen Cuneo's perseverance in rising through the ranks of
high school lacrosse players is a strong indication of her ability to
master difficult tasks; her accomplishments will enable her to emerge as
a leader, fully equipped to meet the challenges of today's complex soci-
ety; and
WHEREAS, Eileen Cuneo is a credit to her family, her school, her
community, her State and her Nation, and no doubt her future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
congratulate and honor Eileen Cuneo on the occasion of her selection as
a 2014 Brine National High School All-American girls lacrosse player;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Eileen Cuneo.
