LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Frank P. Giordano, Jr. upon the occasion
of his designation as recipient of the 2015 Caritas Award by Catholic
Charities Community Services of Orange County

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals who have distinguished themselves
through their exemplary careers, accomplishments, and purposeful lives
of service to their community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Frank P. Giordano, Jr. upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the 2015 Caritas Award by Catholic Charities Community Services of
Orange County at its 9th Annual Celebration of Charity to be held on
Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Anthony's Pier 9, New Windsor, New York;
and
WHEREAS, A man of singular distinction, Frank P. Giordano, Jr. serves
as an extraordinary example of one who demonstrates a deep respect for
the dignity of every individual by serving the basic needs of the most
vulnerable in our midst and by significantly contributing to the build-
ing of a compassionate and just society; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Giordano, Jr. earned his Bachelor of Science degree
from Rider College; he is a member of both the New York State Society of
Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants; and
WHEREAS, In 1969, Frank P. Giordano, Jr. began his career as a Certi-
fied Public Accountant at Judelson, Giordano & Siegel, CPA, PC; in 1985,
he became a Managing Partner of the firm, a position he held until Janu-
ary of 2014; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Giordano, Jr.'s extensive accounting and tax service
experience, combined with his solid business skills, and progressive,
forward thinking enable him to both anticipate and identify key opera-
tional and financial problems, and offer creative solutions; and
WHEREAS, An excellent negotiator, Frank P. Giordano, Jr. specializes
in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and turnaround of troubled
companies, and reorganizations and refinancing; on behalf of firm
clients, he has led negotiations with large publicly traded interna-
tional corporations, unions, and innumerable buyers and sellers of
closely held businesses; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Giordano, Jr. prides himself on bringing business
people together when opportunities arise, and has networked with a broad
array of bankers, venture capitalists, attorneys, insurance and real
estate professionals; and
WHEREAS, Active in his community, Frank P. Giordano, Jr. unselfishly
devotes his time and energies to various youth, civic, and religious
organizations; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate blend-
ing of strength, intellect and commitment as that demonstrated by Frank
Giordano, Jr. over a lifetime of sacrifice and dedication to others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned our
recognition and applause; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Frank P. Giordano, Jr. upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the 2015 Caritas Award by Catholic Charities Community
Services of Orange County; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Frank P. Giordano, Jr.
