LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Joseph Krasniewicz upon the occasion of
his induction into the Warwick Valley Boys Basketball Hall of Fame Class
of 2015 by the Warwick Valley Central School District

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those indi-
viduals whose exceptional athletic prowess leaves an enduring legacy in
their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Joseph Krasniewicz upon the occasion of his induction into the Warwick
Valley Boys Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2015 by the Warwick Valley
Central School District on Friday, January 30, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The outstanding efforts, commitment, and past accomplishments
of Joseph Krasniewicz on the hardwood have helped shape the history of
the Warwick Valley Wildcats Basketball Team and serve as an inspiration
to the current generation of players; and
WHEREAS, A 1954 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, Joseph Kras-
niewicz was a two-year starter on the varsity basketball team, playing
under the able tutelage of Head Coach C. Ashley Morgan; and
WHEREAS, One of the top guards in the Orange County League during his
junior and senior years, Joseph Krasniewicz was best known for his
shooting ability and aggressive defense; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Krasniewicz's most memorable game was recorded against
Florida High School, where he scored a career high 25 points; and
WHEREAS, Athletes like Joseph Krasniewicz provide a tremendous service
to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of
student-athletes in their athletic journeys and ensuring their success
in their future years; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Krasniewicz has clearly had an enduring impact on the
youth of the Warwick Valley Central School District, as well as on the
community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for
his impressive dedication to others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Joseph Krasniewicz upon the occasion of his induction into the
Warwick Valley Boys Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2015 by the Warwick
Valley Central School District; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph Krasniewicz.
