LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Italia Gorski upon the occasion of her
achieving a perfect score in the WordWright Challenge
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of
today, and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Italia Gorski upon the occasion of her achieving a perfect score in the
WordWright Challenge; and
WHEREAS, The WordWright Challenge is a national reading competition
emphasizing perceptive interpretation, sensitivity to language, and an
appreciation of style in reading and writing; and
WHEREAS, Italia Gorski is one of only 44 students from across the
country to earn a perfect score in analytical reading and writing; and
WHEREAS, An avid reader and exceptional student, Italia Gorski is a
credit to her family, her teachers, her school, and her community; and
WHEREAS, Educational competitions which serve to better prepare our
students for their future participation in the marketplace of ideas are
worthy of praise and support; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, Italia
Gorski now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments and
in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appreciat-
ing the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers and parents;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Italia Gorski upon the occasion of her achieving a perfect score
in the WordWright Challenge; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Italia Gorski.
