LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson
and the YWCA Orange County upon the occasion of celebrating its 2015
Tribute to Women of Achievement of Orange County, and applauding the
honorees of the evening

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson and the YWCA Orange County upon the
occasion of celebrating its 2015 Tribute to Women of Achievement of
Orange County, and to applaud the honorees of the evening; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion will be celebrated on Wednesday, May
13, 2015, at Anthony's Pier 9 in Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, Now in its 23rd year, the Tribute honors women in Orange
County who have made a difference in their community through their
professional, personal, or school-based activities; and
WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1992, the Tribute has recognized more
than 230 women from throughout Orange County; and
WHEREAS, A collaboration between the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson
and the YWCA Orange County, the Tribute recognizes women who exemplify
the ideals of these two outstanding organizations; and
WHEREAS, This year, the Tribute to Women of Achievement of Orange
County will recognize the following honorees: Lynn Cione, Gianna Franco,
Donna Frazier, Ellenjane Gonyea, Marsea Hocutt, Michelle Koury, MD,
Joann Menendez, Shannon Wong, and Ayla Devenney as the Young Woman of
the Future; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson and the YWCA Orange County
upon the occasion of celebrating its 2015 Tribute to Women of Achieve-
ment of Orange County, and to applaud the honorees of the evening; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, the YWCA Orange County,
and the aforementioned honorees.
